2 Nights / 3 Days
Add on to your Chile trip
From: $1,190 USD
Available all year
Overview
Located just outside Santiago, this extension offers a unique opportunity to connect with Chile’s native wildlife and ecosystems within the protected landscape of the Santuario de la Naturaleza Cascada de las Ánimas.
At the heart of this experience is a visit to the Refugio Animal Cascada, a leading wildlife rehabilitation center dedicated to the care, recovery, and conservation of native species. This is not a traditional wildlife tour—it is an opportunity to understand the realities of conservation in Chile, guided by the people actively working in the field.
Over the course of three days, you will explore the Andean foothills through a combination of nature-based activities and conservation-focused experiences.
Stay in a dome suite or lodge surrounded by native forest and mountain landscapes, with full-board service throughout your stay. Guided walks through the sanctuary reveal the ecological richness of the region, while a visit to the Refugio offers a deeper understanding of wildlife rehabilitation and human-wildlife coexistence.
The experience also includes a rafting excursion on the Maipo River and time to unwind with a spa session, creating a balanced journey between exploration and rest.
Thanks to its location just outside Santiago, this extension is a perfect add-on for travelers who want to include a meaningful stop in the capital region, either at the beginning or end of a longer journey through Chile.
