About Us

Who We Are

Patagonia Andes Adventure was created by us, Eligah Castleberry and Kendra Ivelic, from a shared love for exploration, wild places, and the kind of travel experiences that stay with you for life.

For years, we’ve traveled through Chile and many different parts of the world searching for adventure, kayaking rivers, hiking remote trails, climbing mountains, camping in beautiful places, meeting local people, and constantly discovering new corners of nature that inspired us.

Eligah’s path has always been deeply connected to outdoor adventure and travel. Through years of guiding and exploring, he developed a passion for creating experiences that combine excitement, comfort, and genuine connection to the places people visit.

Kendra grew up surrounded by nature tourism in Chile, guiding in Patagonia from a young age and later dedicating much of her life to conservation, wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, and documentary filmmaking. That work created an even deeper connection to Chile’s landscapes and the importance of helping others experience and value them.

Patagonia Andes Adventure was born naturally from the way we already lived and traveled ourselves. We created these trips because we genuinely believe that adventure, nature, and meaningful travel can change people. Some journeys stay with you forever, shaping memories, perspectives, and even the way you see the world.

That is what we hope to share through every experience we create.

Our Approach

We believe the best travel experiences come from people who genuinely know and love the places they share.

Every trip we create is built around real experience; rivers we’ve paddled, trails we’ve walked, towns we’ve returned to over the years, and landscapes that continue to inspire us every time we go back.

We are not interested in rushing people through a checklist of destinations. We care more about creating experiences that feel natural, personal, and memorable, trips with the right balance of adventure, comfort, spontaneity, and time to truly enjoy.

Because of our background in exploration, conservation, and years spent traveling through Chile, we’re able to adapt trips to the group, conditions, and the kind of experience each traveler is looking for.

We focus on:

Conservation & Purpose

Conservation is not something separate from our work, it is part of who we are.

Much of our lives have been connected to wildlife conservation, environmental education, rehabilitation work, and spending time in the field understanding the landscapes and ecosystems that make Chile so extraordinary.

Through our work and partnerships, we actively support the Refugio Animal Cascada and the broader work of Fundación Acción Fauna, including wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, and long-term rewilding initiatives in Chile.

Some of our trips are directly connected to these projects, giving travelers the opportunity to experience conservation in a more personal and meaningful way, not as spectators, but as people genuinely connecting with the landscapes, wildlife, and challenges these places face.

Rooted in Experience

Our work is shaped by years spent in the field.

As a team, we have:

This combination allows us to offer journeys that are not only well designed, but also rich in context and understanding.
