Patagonia Andes Adventure
1. Booking & Payment
A reservation is confirmed once Patagonia Andes Adventure receives the required deposit payment and the guest receives written confirmation of the booking.
Unless otherwise specified, a deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required to secure a reservation. Final payment is due no later than 60 days prior to the trip departure date.
For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Failure to complete payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the reservation.
All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.
2. Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.
Cancellation by Guest
- More than 90 days before departure: Refund of all payments made excluding the non-refundable deposit and a $250 USD administrative fee
- 60–89 days before departure: 50% refund of total trip cost
- Less than 60 days before departure: No refund
Unused portions of the itinerary are non-refundable, including missed activities, accommodations, meals, or transportation.
Due to the logistics and advance reservations required for remote Patagonia expeditions, exceptions cannot be made for weather, flight delays, personal emergencies, illness, or schedule changes.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.
3. Cancellation or Changes by Patagonia Andes Adventure
Patagonia Andes Adventure reserves the right to modify itineraries, accommodations, transportation, guides, river sections, activities, or trip schedules due to weather conditions, river levels, safety concerns, natural events, operational requirements, or circumstances beyond our control.
Adventure travel in Patagonia requires flexibility, and guests understand that conditions may change rapidly.
If Patagonia Andes Adventure must cancel a trip prior to departure due to operational reasons, guests will receive either:
- A full refund of payments made to Patagonia Andes Adventure, or
- The option to transfer payments to a future trip
Patagonia Andes Adventure is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by guests, including flights, hotels, travel delays, equipment rentals, or other third-party costs.
4. Assumption of Risk
All participants will be required to review and sign an Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver prior to the start of the trip. By signing this document, participants acknowledge that Patagonia Andes Adventure and its guides, staff, partners, and affiliates are not responsible for accidents, injuries, losses, damages, or unforeseen events that may occur during the expedition.
5. Medical Requirements
All participants are required to submit a medical report completed by a licensed physician no later than 30 days prior to the trip departure date.
Guests are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of participating in the selected itinerary and for informing Patagonia Andes Adventure of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, allergies, dietary restrictions, or other health concerns prior to departure.
Patagonia Andes Adventure reserves the right to deny participation to any guest whose condition may compromise their own safety or the safety of the group.
6. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel and medical insurance is mandatory for all guests.
Insurance should include:
- Emergency medical coverage
- Adventure sports coverage
- Medical evacuation
- Trip cancellation and interruption
- Personal equipment coverage
Guests are solely responsible for ensuring their insurance policy adequately covers all planned activities.
7. Transportation & Travel Logistics
Guests are responsible for arranging their own international and domestic flights unless otherwise specified.
Certain expeditions, particularly in remote regions such as Futaleufú and Patagonia, require additional regional flights, transfers, and overnight stays prior to the official start of the trip.
Patagonia Andes Adventure is happy to assist guests in coordinating travel logistics, hotel recommendations, and regional transportation; however, associated costs are not included unless explicitly stated.
Guests are responsible for arriving on time at designated meeting locations.
Patagonia Andes Adventure is not responsible for delays, missed connections, weather disruptions, airline schedule changes, baggage delays, or transportation issues caused by third-party providers.
8. Weather & River Conditions
All itineraries are subject to weather, river levels, environmental conditions, and operational considerations.
Guide decisions regarding safety, river sections, activity participation, or itinerary modifications are final.
Certain activities may be modified, substituted, delayed, or canceled without refund due to unsafe conditions.
9. Equipment
Guests are responsible for caring for all rented or provided equipment during the trip.
Any damage caused by negligence, misuse, or loss may result in additional charges.
Guests using their own equipment are responsible for ensuring it is appropriate, functional, and in safe operating condition.
10. Code of Conduct
Patagonia Andes Adventure is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all guests, guides, staff, and local communities.
Guests are expected to:
- Follow all guide and safety instructions
- Respect local communities, nature, and wildlife
- Avoid reckless or dangerous behavior
- Treat fellow participants and staff respectfully
Patagonia Andes Adventure reserves the right to remove any participant from a trip without refund if their behavior compromises safety, disrupts the group experience, or violates local laws or environmental standards.
11. Photography & Media
Patagonia Andes Adventure may use photographs or videos taken during trips for promotional and marketing purposes unless guests notify us in writing prior to departure.
Guests are welcome to use personal photography equipment at their own risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
Patagonia Andes Adventure, its guides, staff, partners, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Personal injury or death
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Delays or schedule changes
- Weather-related disruptions
- Acts of nature
- Third-party service failures
- Expenses resulting from missed connections or travel interruptions
By participating in a trip, guests acknowledge and accept these limitations.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting payment for a reservation, guests acknowledge that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms & Conditions in full.
