Beginning in the mountain town of Melipeuco and continuing through the breathtaking landscapes of Conguillío National Park before ending in the lakeside region of Pucón, the trip offers a rich progression through some of Araucanía’s most extraordinary environments.
The first half of the journey embraces a more adventurous spirit, with simpler lodging in remote natural settings that allow for deeper immersion in the landscape. The second half transitions into greater comfort at a beautiful riverside lodge in Pucón, offering space to relax and explore at your own rhythm.

Itinerary at a glance
Arrival at Temuco Airport and transfer toward the mountain landscapes of Araucanía. As the road climbs into forested valleys, the scenery shifts toward volcanoes and native woodland.
After settling into your hotel in Melipeuco, explore the village and visit the striking Salto Truful Truful, where volcanic waters cut through dark rock formations.
Dinner in Melipeuco.
Enter Conguillío National Park, one of Chile’s most spectacular protected areas, especially in autumn.
Explore Laguna Arcoíris, Laguna Verde, and surrounding trails, immersed in araucaria forests and volcanic landscapes.
Box lunch in nature. Overnight in cabins inside or near the park.
Moderate hike (approx. 7 km) to viewpoints of Llaima Volcano and Sierra Nevada, with sweeping views across forests in autumn color.
Box lunch during the hike. Afternoon at leisure to explore or rest.
Travel south toward Pucón. After lunch in town, continue to your riverside lodge along the Liucura River.
Afternoon to relax, enjoy the hot tub or sauna, and settle into a more comfortable rhythm.
Explore the landscapes surrounding Quetrupillán Volcano, hiking through Nothofagus forests, araucaria groves, and open volcanic terrain.
Approx. 10 km loop. Box lunch during the hike.
Visit the iconic Termas Geométricas, set within a narrow canyon surrounded by forest.
Time to relax in thermal waters. Lunch on site. Return to the lodge for dinner.
